BLADENBORO, N.C. – The Dove Brothers were awarded Favorite Male Quartet at last week’s SGM FanFair Awards.

Winners for the 4th Annual SGM FanFair Awards were announced during SGM FanFair at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee this past Thursday, April 3, 2008.

The SGM FanFair Awards are awarded by the readers of Christian Voice Magazine and fans of the SGM FanFair.

McCray Dove stated, “We are so honored to have been awarded Favorite Male Quartet by our fans.  2007 was a banner year for our group – and what better way to start off our 10th year of ministry than with this fantastic mention from our fans!  Thank you so much, and we look forward to another great year this year!”

The Dove Brothers have continued their winning streak at Southern Gospel radio with their new single, “You Don’t Know God’s Love.” “You Don’t Know God’s Love” is the debut single from the group’s highly anticipated new recording, Life.  The song is re-working of the Ronnie Milsap country favorite “You Don’t Know My Love” with a Gospel twist.

The new single recently broke the Top 5 on this week’s issue of the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart.  The song is currently at #44 on the upcoming issue of the May Singing News Top 80.  The song also debuted at #67 on the Gospel Music News Top 100 chart.  In addition, it is ranked at #28 on the GospelMusicTimes.com weekly chart this week.

“You Don’t Know God’s Love” follows in the footsteps of the group’s last two singles – both of which reached the #1 position.  “I’m Gonna Make It” spent 8 weeks at #1 on the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart and reached #1 on Gospel Music News Top 100.  “I Can Pray” went #1 in every national chart, and it became the #1 Song of 2007 according to Singing News Magazine.  The Dove Brothers were also named the most played artist of 2007 in Southern Gospel radio by SoGospelNews.com. 

In addition, the Dove Brothers have been nominated for eight SGN Music Awards this year.  The popular quartet received nominations in the following categories: Pacesetter, Song of the Year (for “I Can Pray”), Male Vocalist of the Year (for Jerry Martin), Male Group of the Year, Musician of the Year (for Jerry Kelso), Best Live Performer, Traditional Southern Song of the Year (for “I Can Pray”), and Fan Favorite Artist of the Year.

The winners for the SGN Music Awards will be announced at the SGN Music Awards Celebration on Tuesday evening, April 29, 2008 in Smyrna, Tennessee. 

It was also recently announced that the Dove Brothers will be one of the honorees at this year’s Southern Gospel Music Guild’s Harmony Honors which is to be held on Tuesday evening, April 22, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee during GMA Music Week.
